In the early hours of Friday morning, a McDonald's in Troutdale, Oregon became the scene of a chaotic encounter that resulted in the arrest of two women. The incident began when employees at the Cherry Park Road McDonald's contacted the authorities at approximately 3:30 a.m. to report a troubling situation involving an alleged DUI driver and her unruly passenger.
According to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, the McDonald's employees informed deputies that a driver, later identified as Tanika Tsow, had entered the drive-thru claiming to be picking up a DoorDash order. However, the employees clarified that they had not received any delivery orders. Undeterred, Tsow initially drove off but soon returned, demanding the order and refusing to leave.
At this point, one of the passengers exited the vehicle and aggressively approached the drive-thru window, directing a barrage of profanity-laced threats at the McDonald's employees. The passenger, identified as 20-year-old Zaria Frazier, began yelling and cursing, causing a disturbance within the restaurant.
Law enforcement arrived at the scene, with the first responding Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputy witnessing Frazier attempting to climb through the drive-thru window. Reportedly, Frazier had managed to get her upper body inside the restaurant before being detained by the officers.
As authorities assessed the situation, it became evident that Tsow was driving under the influence. Consequently, she was promptly placed under arrest for DUI. Meanwhile, Frazier was charged with second-degree trespass and disorderly conduct for her aggressive behavior towards the McDonald's employees.
The Troutdale McDonald's incident serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible driving and maintaining control over one's actions in public spaces. The swift response from law enforcement helped diffuse the situation, ensuring the safety of the McDonald's staff and other patrons.
Both Tsow and Frazier will now face legal consequences for their actions. The authorities are committed to upholding the law and ensuring that individuals who endanger the well-being of others are held accountable.
