Northeast Wisconsin is bracing for the impact of Blizzard Bennett, a powerful winter storm that arrived on Friday morning and is expected to continue until Saturday afternoon. With significant accumulating snow and blizzard-like conditions forecasted, municipalities across the region are taking proactive measures to ensure road clearance by implementing snow emergencies and parking bans.

During snow emergencies and parking bans, vehicles are not permitted to park on the streets. Some municipalities have even warned that vehicles obstructing plowing efforts may be towed at the owner's expense. These measures aim to provide sufficient room for plow truck drivers to effectively clear the roads throughout the storm.

In addition to snow emergencies and parking bans, certain counties have enforced tow bans. This means that when weather conditions make it unsafe to remove crashed or disabled vehicles, occupants will be assisted to safe locations until the tow ban is lifted. Once conditions improve, arrangements can be made to safely remove the vehicles.

Several communities in Northeast Wisconsin have already implemented snow emergencies, parking bans, and tow bans in response to the impending storm. Residents are urged to take note of the following restrictions:

Additionally, the existing overnight "No Parking" restriction on all city streets from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. remains in effect throughout the snow emergency.
- A tow ban has been implemented county-wide, effective immediately, until further notice.

It is essential for residents in affected areas to adhere to these parking and tow bans in order to ensure the smooth progress of snow clearing operations.
