In a tragic incident that has shocked the community, Christopher Gamble, a 28-year-old resident of Northwest Baltimore, has been charged with first and second-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, and related gun charges in the fatal shooting of his 2-year-old daughter, Charlee Gamble.

According to police reports, Charlee was rushed to a hospital on Sunday evening with a gunshot wound and sadly passed away shortly after arriving. Investigations have revealed that at the time of the shooting, Gamble and his daughter were the only occupants of the master bedroom in their home.

Disturbingly, Gamble's behavior after the incident has raised suspicions. An officer at the hospital observed that Gamble arrived with his daughter, handed her off to medical staff, and promptly left the premises. However, he later returned with the mother of his child, donning different clothes, according to charging documents.

During subsequent interviews with detectives, Gamble provided conflicting accounts of the events that unfolded on the fateful night. He allegedly claimed that he had left the illegally purchased gun on the TV stand, and insinuated that Charlee had accidentally shot herself. Despite obtaining search warrants for Gamble's residence and vehicle, authorities did not find any firearms or blood evidence, as highlighted in the charging documents.

Curiously, when questioned about the whereabouts of the gun, Gamble professed ignorance, stating that he did not know what happened to it or where it could be located.

The details surrounding this case are still under investigation, and authorities are working diligently to uncover the truth behind this heartbreaking incident. Meanwhile, the community mourns the loss of young Charlee Gamble and rallies together to support the family in their time of grief.

As the judicial process unfolds, it remains to be seen how the evidence will be presented in court and the ultimate outcome of this devastating tragedy.
