Virginia Beach, VA - Virginia State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 2-year-old girl, Zuri Dorsey, who is believed to be in extreme danger. The authorities suspect that the child has been abducted by her estranged father, Deandre Alante Dorsey, from their residence on the 1300 block of Sapphire Drive in Virginia Beach.

Deandre, who has six outstanding warrants in Virginia Beach, suffers from Type 1 diabetes and it is uncertain if he has his necessary medication with him. Police have reason to believe that he may be heading towards Lawrenceville, Virginia, or Lewiston Woodville, North Carolina.

To aid in the search, Virginia State Police issued the Amber Alert just before 1 p.m., notifying the public about the missing child. Authorities have described Deandre's vehicle as a red Honda Accord with North Carolina license plates bearing the tag number RAZ9972.

Officials from the Virginia Beach Police Department are urgently urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Zuri or Deandre to contact the VBPD missing persons detective at 757-385-4401.

The community is urged to remain vigilant and to provide any relevant information that may assist in locating Zuri and facilitate her safe return.
