Al Pacino, the renowned actor, has finalized an agreement with Noor Alfallah, his former partner, regarding the terms of child support and custody for their 4-month-old son, Roman. Court documents obtained by PEOPLE reveal the agreement reached by the couple.
According to the documents, Pacino, 83, and Alfallah, 29, have agreed to joint legal custody of Roman. Alfallah, who petitioned for custody, will have primary physical custody of Roman, with Pacino having reasonable rights of visitation and access to the infant.
The agreement also includes provisions for facilitating contact between Pacino, the non-custodial parent, and Roman when the child is in Alfallah's custody. This will be done through means such as telephone or FaceTime until Roman is capable of initiating such contact independently.
In terms of child support, the documents state that Pacino has voluntarily made various payments both before and after Roman's birth and that there are currently no outstanding debts between the former couple. Effective September, Pacino is ordered to pay $30,000 per month as child support. Additionally, Pacino will contribute an additional percentage (6% of Respondent's 'annual gross income') in excess of $2,500,000 per calendar year as per the Ostler/Smith formula.
The agreement also caters to Roman's future needs, stipulating that Pacino will contribute $15,000 annually to a 529 account starting in 2023. The purpose of this account is to cover Roman's educational expenses or any other expenses that may be mutually agreed upon by the parties involved.
Al Pacino and Noor Alfallah welcomed their son in June, following their relationship which began in April 2022. Despite filing the custody agreement, the couple confirmed that they are still together, as stated by Pacino's representative in a statement to PEOPLE.
This will be Pacino's fourth child, and his representative confirmed the news of their pregnancy in May. Despite the significant age difference between Pacino and Alfallah, a source revealed that their relationship is strong, and the age gap is not a major concern for them.
With the court documents formalizing the child support and custody arrangements, it appears that both Al Pacino and Noor Alfallah are committed to co-parenting their son, Roman, and ensuring his well-being and future prospects.
