Lancaster, Calif. - Tragedy struck on Friday night as a 4-year-old boy was killed in a car-to-car shooting that authorities have attributed to road rage. The young victim has been identified as Gor Adamyan, a vibrant child whose life was tragically cut short.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred when two suspects chased down Gor's family, firing multiple gunshots at their vehicle. The assailants allegedly cut off the family's car on a highway before initiating the deadly encounter.

The shooting took place around 7:30 p.m. on the Sierra Highway in Lancaster. The victim's family had an initial encounter with the suspects in traffic, which escalated when the suspect driver cut them off and began tailing them through several surface streets. As the suspects continued to pursue the family, the victim driver slowed down, prompting the suspect driver to pull up alongside the passenger side of their car and open fire.

Tragically, a bullet struck Gor, who was seated in the backseat, in the torso. His father and mother, who were also in the vehicle, rushed him to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, the young boy was pronounced dead. Fortunately, the boy's parents did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Shortly after the incident, law enforcement officials were able to identify and apprehend the suspects thanks to crime-fighting technology installed in Lancaster earlier this year. The system helped investigators track down 29-year-old Byron Burkhart and 27-year-old Alexandria Gentile, who were subsequently arrested and booked at the Los Angeles County Jail on suspicion of murder.
