### Yuki Tsunoda Airs Frustrations Over Red Bull's 'Usual Story'
Yuki Tsunoda has expressed his frustration over being overlooked for a Red Bull Racing seat despite his impressive performance metrics. Though Tsunoda has outperformed Daniel Ricciardo by 22 points to 12 and currently leads Liam Lawson in points, his prospects for the 2025 Red Bull seat appear bleak.
The uncertainty surrounding Sergio Perez's future has led to discussions about potential replacements for the RB21. Reports indicate that Red Bull's choice will hinge on the outcome of the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Potential candidates include Liam Lawson and Williams' rookie, Franco Colapinto, but Tsunoda's name is conspicuously absent from speculation.
Tsunoda, who has been part of the Red Bull family since 2021, finds this situation all too familiar. "Some of the stories are already happening from when Daniel was my team-mate. Liam came in and suddenly he's up," Tsunoda told reporters including PlanetF1.com. "So, to be honest, it's just the usual story in that team, or in the Red Bull family."
When asked if he believes he deserves the coveted seat next to Max Verstappen, Tsunoda confidently affirmed, "Yeah, 100 per cent. I always say that definitely I deserve that seat and I can't say more than that. Definitely [it's] up to them."
Tsunoda's frustration is compounded by the fact that despite his consistent performance, other drivers continue to be considered over him. Over the past two seasons, Tsunoda has seen multiple team-mates, including Nyck de Vries and Ricciardo, while also staying ahead in the Drivers' Championship.
Reflecting on his experiences, Tsunoda acknowledged a period of impatience earlier in the season but has now resolved to focus solely on his performance. "I just have to keep doing what I'm doing. I'm the one who's racing still now and whoever they keep sending as a driver to beat me, whatever, I just keep destroying them so that's what I'm going do," he said.
Despite the uncertainties surrounding his future with the top-tier team, Tsunoda will remain part of the Red Bull organisation next season, having been confirmed as a VCARB driver.
