Jasson Domínguez, the highly touted prospect of the New York Yankees, has been sidelined once again. The 19-year-old outfielder was placed on the seven-day injured list at Triple-A on Sunday. The RailRiders, the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate, did not disclose the nature of his injury at the time of the announcement.

Domínguez's latest setback occurred during the RailRiders' game against Rochester on Saturday. He left the game in the bottom of the seventh inning after accumulating three at-bats, including a hit, a run scored, a stolen base, and two strikeouts.

The young phenom had recently completed a successful rehab assignment after undergoing UCL surgery last September. The Yankees decided to keep Domínguez in Scranton following his assignment, as they already had a solid outfield rotation consisting of Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, and Alex Verdugo.

Prior to his injury, Domínguez showcased his exceptional skills at the minor league level. In 23 total minor league games, he posted an impressive batting average of .356 with six home runs and 13 RBI. After his rehab assignment was transferred to Triple-A, his numbers remained impressive, slashing .389/.405/.639 with two additional homers in nine games.

The Yankees organization has invested heavily in Domínguez's development, and his injury comes as a blow to the team's plans for his progression. However, the exact details of the injury and the expected duration of his time on the injured list remain undisclosed.

Fans and analysts will eagerly await further updates on Domínguez's condition and hope for a speedy recovery, allowing him to continue his promising ascent through the Yankees' system.
