Kuro Games, the studio behind Wuthering Waves, has issued a heartfelt apology for the game's troublesome launch that was marred by various issues. In their apology, Kuro Games outlined future changes and unveiled a comprehensive compensation plan to address the concerns of the players.
Acknowledging the importance of player feedback, the Wuthering Waves developer expressed remorse for the state of the game's launch. They stated, "We apologize for the deficiencies and issues present in Wuthering Waves, our first fully independently developed and globally published game at Kuro Games. We understand that this has affected your gaming experience, and we are working to improve it for those who love the game."
To rectify the situation, Kuro Games unveiled their plans for Wuthering Waves, which include addressing the current grindy Echo leveling experience and introducing a Waveplates storage system. They also mentioned upcoming adjustments to the Shell Credit cost of Echo development and the removal of the Tacet Field reward cutscene in version 1.1 of the game.
Furthermore, Kuro Games expressed regret for mishandling the Shell Credit rewards issue. Players affected by the wrong Shell Credit rewards from recycling developed Echoes will receive additional compensation in the form of one million Shells. The studio acknowledged their hasty response and promised to make future decisions with thorough consideration and professionalism.
Players impacted by the 5-Star Weapon Verdant Summit mistranslation will also receive compensation. On Monday, June 3, those affected by the localization error will be given five Forging Tides. Additionally, all Rovers will receive 20 Crystal Solvents on the same day, as a gesture of goodwill due to the poor experience with the Echo system. This translates to 1,200 Waveplates that will be given to players for free.
In an effort to improve the overall player experience, Kuro Games announced enhancements to events as well. Starting from Thursday, June 13, a new limited-time Wuthering Exploration event will offer rewards such as 800 Astrides, a Morphable Elite Class Echo I and II, a Premium Tuner, and a Premium Sealed Tube.
In their closing statement, Kuro Games expressed their disappointment in not being able to provide a high-quality gaming experience to all Rovers since the global launch of Wuthering Waves. They emphasized their commitment to releasing better versions and content in the future, as it remains their goal and mission.
