**Commanders Lead Panthers 10-0, But Lose Key Player**

The Washington Commanders have taken an early 10-0 lead against the Carolina Panthers in the first quarter, yet the atmosphere among fans remains tense. The concern stems from the fact that their starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels, had to leave the game after the team's initial offensive drive and was subsequently taken to the locker room with a rib injury. According to Evan Washburn of CBS, Daniels is undergoing X-rays and his return is currently uncertain.

Before his departure, Daniels made a significant impact on the field. He executed a remarkable 46-yard run, setting up a field goal by Austin Seibert that concluded the Commanders' first drive. Unfortunately, it was during that impressive run that Daniels received a hit which likely caused the injury.

With Daniels sidelined, Marcus Mariota has stepped in as quarterback for Washington. Apart from the offensive efforts, the Commanders' defense also contributed to the early lead. Dante Fowler intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, boosting the team to a 7-0 advantage. This was quickly followed by Seibert's field goal, bringing the score to 10-0 as the first quarter draws to a close.

Fans and team members alike are anxiously waiting for updates on Daniels' condition, hoping that the injury won't keep him off the field for long. Meanwhile, all eyes are on Mariota as he attempts to maintain the Commanders' momentum in Jayden Daniels' absence.
