Months after facing accusations of inappropriate behavior on the set of his highly anticipated film "Megalopolis," renowned director Francis Ford Coppola finds himself in hot water once again as videos have emerged depicting him seemingly kissing multiple women on set. The videos, obtained by Variety, show the 85-year-old director engaging in affectionate gestures with various extras during the filming of a nightclub scene for the sci-fi epic.

In one particularly concerning moment, Coppola is seen hugging and kissing several individuals, leading to him taking the microphone to address the crowd. According to a source, he reportedly apologized, stating, "Sorry, if I come up to you and kiss you. Just know it's solely for my pleasure." The absence of an HR department, as Coppola personally funded the film, left those affected with no one to turn to and address the issue.

Earlier this year, The Guardian published a report revealing a series of unsettling incidents behind the scenes of "Megalopolis," which included allegations of inappropriate advances by Coppola towards women. Sources disclosed that Coppola's behavior could be described as "old school," with reports of him pulling women onto his lap. Regarding the kissing and hugging, insiders claimed that Coppola aimed to create a certain atmosphere to set the mood for the film.

A representative for Coppola has not yet responded to Fox News Digital's request for comment on the recent video revelations. However, in a previous interview with The New York Times, Coppola denied being "touchy-feely" and claimed to be "too shy" for such behavior.

The executive co-producer of "Megalopolis," Darren Demetre, defended Coppola's actions during the filming of the nightclub scene, stating that the director's intention was to inspire and establish the desired atmosphere for the pivotal sequence. Demetre highlighted that, throughout the course of the project, he was unaware of any complaints of harassment or inappropriate behavior.

"Megalopolis" marks Coppola's return to the director's chair after a 13-year hiatus, and it is his 23rd film overall. The director invested a staggering $120 million of his own money into the ambitious project, which he has been passionately working on for decades.

As these videos circulate, the once highly revered director faces significant backlash, with renewed scrutiny into his conduct on set. The repercussions of these allegations remain to be seen, but they undoubtedly cast a shadow over the much-anticipated release of "Megalopolis."
