**Victoria Justice Embraces Dark Role in New Thriller 'Depravity'**

Victoria Justice takes a dramatic turn in her new film, *Depravity*, diving into a world filled with murder, mayhem, and mystery. The film, described by Justice as having "all the ingredients for a good thriller," features an intense plot with greed, sex, and plenty of blood and gore.

Justice plays Grace, a law student living in a daunting old apartment building called the Lancaster. Along with her roommate, played by Devon Ross, and a new neighbor, portrayed by Taylor John Smith, Grace starts to suspect their creepy next-door neighbor, depicted by Dermot Mulroney, is a serial killer. The film, directed and written by Paul Tamasy of *The Fighter* fame, promises a series of unexpected twists and turns that kept even Justice on her toes.

Reflecting on the film, Justice highlights how *Depravity* taps into the innate curiosity people have about the lives of their neighbors. "We all feel a little nosy – like, what's your story? What's going on behind closed doors?" she explained. "This takes that to an extreme level."

Transitioning from her Nickelodeon days, Justice shot the film in Bangkok and faced the challenge of her first-ever sex scene on her very first day on set. Despite initial anxieties, she felt reassured by director Paul Tamasy’s collaborative approach. "He made me feel very safe and protected," Justice shared, crediting co-star Smith for his supportive presence during the filming.

Justice's character, Grace, is fearless to the point of recklessness in her pursuit of the truth about her neighbor. However, in real life, Justice admits she prefers to play it safe, unlike her daring onscreen persona. "I would never want to sneak into a potential serial killer's apartment," she stated.

Justice's move to darker roles signifies how much time has passed since her days as a child actor on Nickelodeon's *Victorious* and *Zoey 101*. These shows still enjoy a new wave of popularity streaming on Netflix.

When asked about the idea of her own future children pursuing acting, Justice showed an open yet cautious stance. "If my kid really wanted to do it and was super passionate about it... I would want to support them and help them thrive," she said, emphasizing the importance of a balanced life with traditional schooling and education.

In addition to her acting endeavors, Justice continues her music career, releasing singles like "Down" and "Raw" this year. She also has a guest-starring role in the upcoming *Suits: L.A.* pilot, now picked up as a series following the original show's resurgence on Netflix. Playing the ambitious movie star Dylan Pryor, Justice found the experience enriching and anticipates that fans will enjoy the new series.

For Justice, *Depravity* and her other upcoming projects mark an exciting new chapter in her diverse and evolving career.
