### Veterans Day: Impact on Postal Services

Veterans Day, observed on November 11, stands as a federal holiday dedicated to recognizing and honoring military veterans. This observance affects postal services and deliveries in varying ways.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) designates Veterans Day as one of its 11 official federal holidays. Consequently, USPS will neither deliver mail nor keep its post offices open on this day. Their services are set to resume as usual the following Tuesday.

Similarly, DHL suspends its operations on all public holidays, including Veterans Day. This means customers relying on DHL will also experience a pause in service.

In contrast, United Parcel Service (UPS) will keep its store locations open and will continue with its scheduled deliveries. However, shipments handled through UPS SurePost and Mail Innovations will face an additional business day's delay due to their reliance on USPS for final delivery steps.

FedEx plans to keep its stores operational and maintain regular delivery schedules. However, the USPS closures may cause delays in FedEx Express and FedEx Ground Economy services.

Amazon, which does not count Veterans Day among its seven recognized holidays, will continue to deliver packages as usual. The holiday will have no impact on their delivery schedule.

Other holidays observed by USPS include New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
