A passenger on the flight, Kevin Clarke, reported hearing a loud vibration during takeoff and witnessed damage to a wing slat near the engine. The Federal Aviation Administration is actively investigating the incident that led to the Boeing 757-200 aircraft being diverted. Despite the unsettling occurrence, all passengers remained unharmed, and United Airlines swiftly arranged for a replacement aircraft to transport customers to Boston. The plane safely landed in Denver on Monday evening and was scheduled to arrive at Boston Logan International Airport early Tuesday morning.
