In a harrowing incident, a United Airlines flight from Tel Aviv to Newark was forced to divert to Newburgh - Stewart airport in New Windsor, New York, after encountering severe turbulence during its final descent. The Boeing 787-10 aircraft, carrying over 300 passengers, was met with treacherous weather conditions, including high winds and turbulence.

As the plane attempted to land, the pilots were met with wind shear, a sudden change in wind speed or direction, forcing them to abort the landing just 750 feet above the ground. In order to ensure the safety of everyone aboard, the decision was made to reroute the flight to Stewart airport.

Emergency services promptly responded to the scene, providing immediate medical attention to multiple passengers who had sustained injuries during the turbulent episode. Six individuals were subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Many passengers described the experience as resembling a "roller coaster" or a ride at a theme park like "Six Flags."

Following approximately two hours on the ground, the United Airlines flight was able to resume its journey to Newark. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the factors contributing to the severe turbulence.

Notably, this incident is expected to attract significant media attention due to the involvement of United Airlines and the aircraft being a Boeing model. However, it is important to highlight that the cause of the issue was weather-related, emphasizing the challenges that pilots face in navigating adverse weather conditions.
