This comes after the recent dismissal of Oleksii Danilov as secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, who is being replaced by Oleksandr Lytvynenko, head of Ukraine's foreign intelligence service.

Additionally, Zelenskyy had previously removed Valerii Zaluzhnyi as head of the armed forces, appointing him as Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom. These changes signal the President's determination to bring fresh perspectives and strategies to key positions within his administration.

Meanwhile, Russia has escalated its aggression towards Ukraine, as Ukraine's air force reported that Russia launched 12 Shahed drones overnight. Fortunately, nine of them were successfully shot down. Furthermore, Russia fired four missiles into eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine's armed forces revealed that Russia conducted a large-scale assault, featuring 38 missiles, 75 airstrikes, and 98 attacks from multiple rocket launchers within the past 24 hours. This intensification of hostilities poses a significant threat to the already volatile situation in the region.

Furthermore, Ukrainian energy company Centrenergo announced the destruction of the Zmiiv Thermal Power Plant in the eastern Kharkiv region due to Russian shelling. As a result, approximately 120,000 people in the region continue to face scheduled power outages, which were implemented after 700,000 people lost electricity following the initial attack on March 22.

Russia's recent attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have caused substantial damage in several regions, and officials in the Poltava region reported "several hits" to an infrastructure facility. The specific nature of this targeted facility has not been disclosed.
