### UAE Official Visits Israel to Condole Family of Slain Rabbi

In a gesture of solidarity and peace, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi from the United Arab Emirates visited Israel to offer his condolences to the family of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, who was tragically killed in Abu Dhabi on November 24, 2024. This visit highlights the UAE's continued commitment to coexistence and its firm stance against extremism.

Upon his arrival in Jerusalem, Nuaimi met with Rabbi Kogan's family during their shiva, a traditional Jewish mourning period. He expressed heartfelt sympathies and reassured them that the UAE remains dedicated to the principles of openness and peace. "The state and its citizens are more committed than ever to the values of openness and peace and will increase their efforts to ensure that Rabbi Zvi's legacy continues and that all communities live in harmony in the UAE," Nuaimi stated.

Accompanying Nuaimi was Amir Hayek, the former Israeli Ambassador to the UAE, demonstrating the strengthened ties between the two nations. Nuaimi, who serves as the Chairman of the Defense Commission of the Federal National Council’s Internal and External Relations Committee, conveyed the sentiments of the UAE president, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Nuaimi, a prominent advocate of the Abraham Accords and a vocal critic of radical Islam, reiterated his condemnation of extremism. Reflecting on his stance, Nuaimi stated, "This is not Islam, and it does not serve the interests of Muslims worldwide. Instead of religion uniting all human beings, they developed a narrative of hatred."

This visit underscores the UAE's dedication to fostering peace and rejecting divisive ideologies, ensuring that the legacy of figures like Rabbi Kogan endures while promoting harmony across all communities.
