### Jeremy Zoll Named Twins' Seventh General Manager as Dave St. Peter Steps Down

MINNEAPOLIS -- In a move that underscores the Minnesota Twins' collaborative approach to leadership, the team has named Jeremy Zoll as its new general manager. Zoll, who has been instrumental in some of the franchise's most significant recent transactions, is set to assume greater responsibilities as part of an organizational restructuring.

Zoll's promotion comes after Dave St. Peter announced he would be stepping down from his role as team president and CEO after a remarkable 22-year tenure. Derek Falvey, previously focused solely on baseball operations, will now take on a broader role, integrating the business aspects of the franchise with his existing duties.

"Jeremy has been an influential figure within our baseball operations, contributing significantly to our decision-making processes over the past few seasons," Falvey noted. "This move is a natural evolution, reflecting his invaluable involvement with our staff and the overall organization."

Having served as assistant general manager since 2020, the 34-year-old Zoll has been the go-to expert on player development, drawing on his extensive experience as the Twins' farm director and his work with the Dodgers before joining Minnesota. His adept handling of high-profile trades, like the Sonny Gray deal with Cincinnati and the Jorge Polanco acquisition from Seattle, has earned him considerable respect within the organization.

Reflecting on his new role, Zoll expressed his gratitude and excitement. "This promotion validates all the hard work and the successes we've achieved together as a team. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with our talented staff and making a positive impact."

As Falvey transitions into his expanded role, there will be opportunities for Zoll to delve deeper into various aspects of the organization, including scouting. Falvey emphasized that Zoll will play an integral role across all facets of their Major League operations.

Zoll's 14-year career spans several major league teams, including the Reds, Blue Jays, Angels, and Dodgers, before his tenure with the Twins. One of his notable contributions in Minnesota has been enhancing the team's performance program by integrating advanced health, nutrition, and wellness resources.

Falvey acknowledged Zoll's strong relationships with agents, which have bolstered the organization's player development efforts. "Jeremy's experience as a farm director has required him to work closely with agents, earning their respect and facilitating smoother operations."

Looking ahead, Zoll is committed to maintaining the Twins' decentralized decision-making approach, ensuring that various voices within the organization contribute to their strategies and actions.

The Twins are gearing up for a busy offseason, with key positions to fill, including an infield coach and at least one assistant hitting coach, following the departure of four members of Rocco Baldelli's field staff. Additionally, the team is focusing on strengthening their roster with a new first baseman, a right-handed batter, and bullpen improvements to bounce back from a challenging 2024 season.
