In a horrific incident on Easter Sunday, a man was killed and five others were injured during a shooting inside a restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee. According to police, the shooting took place around 3 p.m. in the Salemtown neighborhood and occurred shortly after a male suspect arrived at the establishment with a woman.

The situation quickly escalated when an argument broke out between the suspect and another man, identified as Allen Beachem, 33. Police spokesperson Don Aaron described the altercation as one that "significantly escalated within moments." Tragically, Beachem lost his life during the confrontation, while the conditions of the other victims remain unknown at this time.

Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell expressed his sorrow over the incident, stating, "Tragically, Easter was disrupted by gun violence in my neighborhood at one of our wonderful small businesses. My heart goes out to those who had their holiday disrupted by gun violence."

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has identified a 46-year-old suspect and the car used by the shooter to flee the scene. Security footage from the restaurant provided valuable information, leading to the discovery of the vehicle overnight. As of Monday, authorities are still searching for the suspect and have released photographs from the shooting scene, including an image of the individual brandishing a handgun, to aid in the ongoing investigation.

McClain stated, "Some people did try to resist the gunman. It was just mass chaos." Police spokesperson Don Aaron suggested that the altercation could have resulted from a simple invasion of personal space. "It may have been something as simple as one person invading another person's space," he explained.
