Tragic Plane Crash Claims Lives of Metro Atlanta Family Returning from Baseball Tournament
Masonville, N.Y. - A devastating plane crash in Masonville, New York has resulted in the loss of five individuals from a metro Atlanta family. The victims, identified as 76-year-old Roger Beggs, 43-year-old Laura Van Epps, 42-year-old Ryan Van Epps, 12-year-old James R. Van Epps, and 10-year-old Harrison Van Epps, were traveling back home from a baseball tournament in Cooperstown when the accident occurred.
On Sunday afternoon, New York State Police received reports of the plane crash, which took place approximately an hour south of Cooperstown. Search teams located the wreckage and discovered the bodies of all five passengers. Hailing from Georgia, the victims were en route to West Virginia in order to refuel before proceeding to their final destination, Cobb County International Airport.
