**Raiders Field Offers for Davante Adams Amid Looming Trade Deadline**

The Las Vegas Raiders are actively in discussions with multiple NFL teams regarding the potential trade of star wide receiver Davante Adams. Among the interested parties are the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, and Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs are closely monitoring the situation, according to league sources. The Dallas Cowboys also expressed interest but opted out due to the financial implications of Adams' remaining $12.5 million base salary this season.

Adams fueled speculation of possible interest from the Baltimore Ravens when he posted an image referencing Edgar Allan Poe, famed for his poem "The Raven," on Instagram. However, it's not clear if the Ravens are pursuing Adams. Similarly, the Washington Commanders are said to be in the mix but their level of interest remains uncertain.

The Raiders are firm on their asking price, reportedly seeking a second-round pick along with additional compensation for Adams. Despite Adams' trade request on September 30, the Raiders are prepared to hold out for the right offer. Interestingly, the team has chosen not to mitigate Adams' salary through a signing bonus, a move that could facilitate a deal given their considerable salary-cap space.

Only the Commanders and Jets currently have the cap space to absorb Adams' contract, while the Steelers, Ravens, and Saints would need either the Raiders to cover part of the salary or find other ways to create sufficient cap room. The Jets appear to be front-runners for Adams, mainly due to the former Packers connection between Adams and Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Despite recent organizational changes, the Jets continue negotiations with the Raiders.

The Saints have their own ties to Adams through quarterback Derek Carr, who played with Adams both in college and briefly with the Raiders. Carr’s injury status, a recent oblique strain, could influence the Saints' trade dynamics.

Despite speculation, reconciliation between Adams and Raiders coach Antonio Pierce seems unlikely given their deteriorated relationship. Talks have advanced after Adams privately expressed his desire to be traded to a more competitive team. Adams has not commented publicly following this request and has missed two games due to a hamstring injury.

The Raiders face a decision deadline, as the NFL trade window closes on November 5. While Adams could be cleared to play soon, indications suggest he might not feature in any upcoming games until a trade is finalized.
