The extent of the damage caused by the tornado is still being assessed, with reports of injuries but no confirmation of casualties as of yet.

Multiple tornadoes were reported across Nebraska, but the most destructive storm made its way from rural areas into the northwest suburbs of Omaha, a city with a population of approximately 485,000. The aftermath of the tornado was captured in chilling photos shared on social media, revealing heavily damaged homes and uprooted trees. Video footage of the affected areas showcased homes with roofs stripped of shingles, particularly in a rural region near Omaha. Law enforcement immediately closed off roads in the vicinity to ensure public safety.

One distressing scene captured by KETV-TV showed first responders rescuing a woman from the rubble of a demolished home in Blair, a city located just north of Omaha. Another tornado was reported in the western outskirts of Omaha, directly impacting parts of Eppley Airfield, the city's airport. Air traffic operations were suspended, and authorities began evaluating the extent of the damage at the airport. Steve McCoy, the Chief Strategy Officer of the Omaha Airport Authority, stated that shelter facilities had been provided for individuals within the terminal, ensuring their safety.

Following its passage through the airport, the tornado crossed the Missouri River and entered Iowa, north of Council Bluffs. Preceding the tornado's arrival in the Omaha area, an industrial facility in Lancaster County was struck, resulting in injuries to three workers. Although the injuries sustained by the three workers were not life-threatening, they were nevertheless taken for medical treatment.

In addition to the destruction caused by the tornado, the Omaha Public Power District reported nearly 10,000 customers without electricity in the Omaha area.
