**Exciting Wrestling Events Mark the Beginning of the College Season**

As the college wrestling season officially kicks off, fans can look forward to a series of thrilling competitions across the nation. This weekend offers a variety of high-stakes matchups streamed live on FloWrestling, with several key events guaranteed to captivate wrestling enthusiasts.

One standout event is the face-off between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Life Running Eagles in Marietta, Georgia. These two prominent women's collegiate teams previously clashed on January 21, 2024, with Iowa dominating the match 35-6. During that encounter, Sarah Savidge secured an 11-0 technical fall, earning four points. Jamilah and Latifah McBryde of Life managed to avoid pins, contributing one point each for their team.

Life University, a powerhouse in the NAIA, boasts impressive achievements. Jamilah McBryde clinched a title at the NAIA National Championships last year. Additionally, Sarah Savidge, Zaynah McBryde, and Latifah McBryde earned runner-up finishes in their respective weight classes, contributing to Life's runner-up team finish and garnering eight All-Americans.

The University of Iowa, on the other hand, made history by winning its first National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships team title in the 2023-24 season. The Hawkeyes showcased their depth and talent with nine wrestlers reaching the finals and ultimately securing six individual championships, including notable performances by Kennedy Blades, Macey Kilty, and Kylie Welker.

In addition to the Iowa vs. Life showdown, the weekend features several other marquee events. The "Throwdown on the Yorktown" on November 8 will take place aboard the USS Yorktown, a retired aircraft carrier in Charleston Harbor. This unique event includes teams like The Citadel, Army West Point, University of Virginia, Gardner-Webb, Lander, Newberry, and Presbyterian College — offering fans an unforgettable experience.

Following that, the 2024 Journeymen WrangleMania kicks off on November 9 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, featuring fierce competition among thirteen college programs such as NC State, Arizona State, Illinois, and Rutgers. The action continues with the Tiger Style Invite at Staley High School in Kansas City, Missouri, involving ranked wrestlers like Keegan O'Toole and Matt Ramos from six competitive teams.

Concluding the weekend, the Journeyman Collegiate Classic on November 10 promises an electrifying finale. Held at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, this annual round-robin event brings together sixteen elite teams, including Cornell, NC State, Illinois, and Lehigh.

With these exciting events lined up, wrestling fans across the country are in for an action-packed weekend that sets the stage for an unforgettable college wrestling season.
