In a tragic series of events on Saturday morning, three individuals were killed in multiple shootings in Levittown, a suburb located just outside of Philadelphia. Local police have launched a search for the suspect, who remains at large.
According to authorities in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, officers were called to a residence on Viewpoint Lane at approximately 8:52 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, investigators discovered that the suspected shooter, identified as 26-year-old Andre Gordon, had allegedly shot and killed two individuals at the residence. The preliminary investigation revealed that Gordon was driving a stolen vehicle during the incident.
Following the first shooting, Gordon is believed to have proceeded to another residence on Edgewood Lane in Levittown, where he allegedly shot and killed another individual before fleeing the scene. Police have stated that Gordon had some prior connection to the victims.
At around 9:13 a.m., it is reported that Gordon carjacked a driver at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Dollar General store in Morrisville. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed during the incident. Authorities have issued a description of the suspect's vehicle, a 2016 gray Honda CRV with a Pennsylvania license plate and a "Namaste" sticker on the right bumper in white letters. They have also warned that Gordon may be armed with multiple weapons, including an assault rifle.
Gordon, who is believed to be homeless with ties to Trenton, New Jersey, was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. Local law enforcement agencies have emphasized that he should be considered extremely dangerous, and they urge anyone who spots him or his vehicle to immediately contact 911.
In response to the ongoing manhunt, residents in Falls Township have been advised to take precautions, such as sheltering in place, locking doors, and moving to secure locations away from windows. The nearby Middletown Township has urged its residents not to travel to Falls Township until further notice, and those residing in areas bordering Falls have been instructed to also shelter in place.
Government officials have expressed their concern over the situation. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick is in direct contact with law enforcement in their efforts to locate the suspect, while Gov. Josh Shapiro has been briefed on the incident and has called upon state police to offer assistance to local authorities.
As the investigation continues, Levittown, located approximately 26 miles from Philadelphia, remains on high alert. This is a developing story, and updates are expected to be released as more information becomes available.
