Grammy-winning pop star Taylor Swift will be present at the NFL season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, according to a source familiar with the security arrangements at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift, who is dating Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce, has been a regular attendee at his games ever since they went public with their relationship last season.
Despite her busy schedule, Swift has been making time to support Kelce and the Chiefs. Last year, Swift made her first appearance at a game when the Chiefs played against the Chicago Bears in Week 3. She continued to be a familiar face in the stands during her break from her Eras Tour, attending several games, including the AFC Championship Game against the Ravens and the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Swift's current tour break aligns perfectly with the early weeks of the NFL season, giving her the opportunity to attend many of Kelce's games. However, there are certain challenges ahead, as her tour schedule clashes with some Chiefs' regular-season games. Three shows in October and December fall on the same dates as Chiefs' games, but there are four other games in Weeks 9-12 that may prove difficult for Swift to attend due to conflicting tour dates.
Both Swift and Kelce have been supportive partners to each other's careers. Kelce, who signed a lucrative two-year contract with the Chiefs in April, has been seen attending Swift's Eras Tour shows and even made a surprise on-stage appearance during her performance at London's Wembley Stadium.
With his contract running through the 2025 season, Kelce, who will turn 35 in October, believes he still has a few more productive years in his career. He expressed his dedication to the game, stating that he would play "until the wheels fall off." It seems that Swift is fully committed to standing by him throughout his football journey.
As the 2024 NFL season kicks off, fans will surely keep an eye out for Taylor Swift's presence at the Kansas City Chiefs' games, cheering on her beau, Travis Kelce, from the stands.
