**Taylor Swift Surpasses Rihanna as the Richest Female Musician**

Taylor Swift has officially become the richest female musician in the world, according to Forbes. Swift's substantial net worth increase places her above Rihanna, who has a reported net worth of $1.4 billion. Despite this, Rihanna still holds the title of "Richest Female Musician of All Time" due to a peak net worth valuation of $1.77 billion.

Earlier this year, Swift debuted on Forbes' annual billionaires list, and as of October 5, her net worth has been updated to reflect significant growth attributed to her highly successful 'Eras Tour' and the enduring popularity of her music catalogue. Swift now holds the number two spot on the list of richest musicians overall, with Jay-Z maintaining the top position with an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion.

Forbes estimates that Swift has earned $600 million from both her royalties and touring, with an additional $600 million coming from her music catalogue. Her re-recorded albums, part of her effort to reclaim control over her master recordings, have been particularly lucrative. The most recent re-release, her 2014 album '1989', has even outsold the original.

Additionally, Forbes reports that Swift has accrued $125 million in real estate investments and earned $100 million from Spotify streaming royalties last year alone, driven by the success of her recent albums 'Midnights' and '1989 (Taylor's Version)'.

In October 2023, Bloomberg reported that Swift's net worth had reached billionaire status, bolstered by her new music releases, the historic 'Eras' tour— the first tour to ever gross $1 billion—and an immensely successful concert film.

Beyond her financial achievements, Swift recently concluded the UK and European leg of her 'Eras Tour' in August, marked by five final performances at Wembley Stadium. In recognition of her record-breaking residency, Wembley Stadium presented her with a personalized guitar, and there have been calls for her to receive London's Freedom of the City honor.

Swift's tour will continue on October 18 at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, with the final leg concluding in Vancouver, Canada in early December. The pop star has also made headlines in the political arena, endorsing Democratic Party candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris for the upcoming U.S. presidential election. Her endorsement has sparked significant backlash from former President Donald Trump, who responded with a social media post stating, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT."
