Target is stepping up its game in the home delivery market with the launch of its revamped loyalty program, Target Circle. The popular discount retailer is now offering three new membership options for shoppers, including a free membership, a retail card option, and a new paid membership called Target Circle 360.
Starting this month, Target Circle 360 offers members same-day delivery and more perks for an annual subscription fee of $99. But, for a limited time offer, the subscription is available at a discounted price of $49 until May 18. With Target Circle 360, members can enjoy free same-day delivery, which promises to arrive in as little as an hour, with no additional fees. They will also have access to free two-day shipping through Target's delivery service, Shipt. In addition, Target Circle 360 members can benefit from Shipt's catalog of over 100 retail partners, including Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and Petco, for fast shipping.
To further enhance the shopping experience, members of Target Circle 360 will have the convenience of "no-rush returns," allowing them an additional 30 days to return purchased items. Meanwhile, Target Circle Card members, previously known as Target RedCard holders, will enjoy up to 5% off select purchases, alongside existing store deals. They will also have extended return benefits and discounted prices on a Target Circle 360 membership.
The launch of Target Circle 360 puts the retailer in direct competition with Amazon Prime and Walmart+, two giants in the home delivery market. Amazon Prime, founded in 2005, offers free and unlimited same-day or two-day shipping services across the US, alongside various deals and discounts. Meanwhile, Walmart+ provides unlimited free shipping and free delivery from local stores, as well as savings on fuel and video streaming services.
Target is not neglecting its free membership option, Target Circle, which allows shoppers to earn 1% cash back on purchases and up to 5% with a Target credit card. While this membership remains relatively the same, members can now expect more personalized offers and discounts on both in-store and online items.
To kick-start the revamped loyalty program, Target Circle members can take advantage of the upcoming Target Circle week, which runs from April 7 to April 13. During this week, members will have access to exclusive deals, saving up to 40% on select purchases. These deals include discounts on swimwear, outdoor living, hair and beauty products, breakfast favorites, toys, bedding, and bath items. Additionally, members spending $50 on homecare products or at Ulta Beauty at Target will receive a $15 Target gift card.
By reimagining its loyalty program and introducing new membership options, Target aims to deliver a more affordable and cost-effective shopping experience while building stronger relationships with its guests. Target Circle allows the retailer to better compete with industry leaders like Amazon Prime and Walmart+, providing customers with attractive perks and benefits.
Target's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident as it continues to innovate and adapt to the changing retail landscape. With Target Circle's new offerings, loyal customers can expect even more rewards and savings during their next Target run.
