**Sydney Sweeney Declines Multiple Projects Awaiting 'Euphoria' Season 3**

Sydney Sweeney, known for her role as Cassie Howard in HBO's hit series Euphoria, revealed that she had to forego several potential projects while waiting for the third season of the show. Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson, first aired in June 2019, with its second season following in January 2022. Although the show was renewed for a third season in February 2022, various setbacks have significantly delayed its production.

The series has faced numerous challenges, including the 2023 Hollywood strikes and the untimely deaths of actor Angus Cloud and executive producer Kevin Turen. Additionally, concerns about script issues and the actors' busy schedules have fueled speculation that Euphoria Season 3 might not materialize. However, Casey Bloys from HBO and Max recently confirmed that filming is set to commence in January 2025.

In a conversation with Vanity Fair, Sweeney disclosed that because of the ongoing delays, she had to reject multiple offers to keep her schedule open for Euphoria. "There were definitely a few projects that I had to pass on because I was supposed to be going back to Euphoria," Sweeney explained. She then elaborated on her decision to focus on her own projects, such as the film Anyone but You, after realizing that Euphoria's return to filming was uncertain.

Sweeney's decision to shift her focus has led to her active involvement in various productions. Alongside Anyone but You, released in 2023, she starred as Julia Cornwall in 2024's Madame Web and portrayed Cecilia in Immaculate, also slated for 2024. Her upcoming project includes a role in Ron Howard's Eden, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Currently, there is no set premiere date for Euphoria Season 3.
