**Cowboys Continue Home Struggles With Fifth Consecutive Loss**

The Dallas Cowboys were hopeful that Monday night would be their chance to break a losing streak, but their performance against the Houston Texans told a different story. The Cowboys have now dropped their fifth straight game, with a disheartening 0-5 record at AT&T Stadium. Once a stronghold where they won 16 consecutive games, AT&T Stadium no longer provides the home-field advantage it once did.

Despite showing resilience on defense for nearly three quarters, the Cowboys ultimately faltered. While Jerry Jones and head coach Mike McCarthy deserve criticism, certain players also fell short of expectations, contributing to the team's latest defeat.

One such player is safety Donovan Wilson, who throughout the season has struggled, and Monday night was no exception. Wilson recorded five tackles and one pass deflection but was frequently out of position and missed crucial tackles. On the Texans' first touchdown, Wilson’s passive play allowed Joe Mixon to easily reach the end zone. Originally celebrated for his hard-hitting style, Wilson's performance this season has placed him on a trajectory for his worst professional year. With Markquese Bell showing potential last season, he might be considered a better option moving forward.

Offensive tackle Tyler Guyton also had a night to forget. The Cowboys' offensive line repeatedly struggled to protect quarterback Cooper Rush, and Guyton's blunder in the fourth quarter epitomized their issues. After recovering a fumble, instead of securing the ball, Guyton attempted to run, resulting in a costly turnover that led to a Texans touchdown. This mistake essentially sealed the victory for Houston and underscored the problems plaguing the Cowboys' offensive line.

Quarterback Cooper Rush, filling in for Dak Prescott, also faced his share of issues. While his performance was an improvement over last week, Rush still misfired on several key throws, including an early interception that wasted a defensive turnover. A failed fourth-down attempt in the third quarter, where Rush overthrew a potential touchdown pass, highlighted the ongoing disconnect between him and his receivers.

Rush has shown flashes of competence, as seen in his touchdown pass to KaVontae Turpin, but has been unable to maintain consistency. With McCarthy seemingly committed to Rush as the starter, questions are mounting about whether a change, possibly involving Trey Lance, might benefit the team.

The Cowboys' high expectations endure regardless of their struggles, and significant improvements are necessary if they hope to salvage what remains of the season.
