More than 50 residents in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, were forced to evacuate their homes after severe thunderstorms wreaked havoc in the area, causing significant tree and property damage. The FOX 11 Storm Chaser captured the aftermath of the storms, revealing uprooted trees scattered across roads and yards.

Steve Greenwood, a resident on Kaukauna's northside, was stunned to find his backyard in disarray upon returning from work around 5 a.m. Part of his fence had been ripped out of the ground, and numerous trees had collapsed. Thankfully, Greenwood and his family were unharmed, and he expressed gratitude that no valuable possessions were damaged. "Just a few fences...nothing critical," he stated.

Ray Mohr, another resident in the city, received a distressing phone call from his wife about portions of their roof being torn off during the storm. Although Mohr was not present at home at the time, he immediately joined his neighbors in beginning the cleanup process. He mentioned that their detached garage also suffered damage and will require attention.

In response to the widespread devastation caused by the storm, the Community Emergency Response Team, a group of trained volunteers, sprang into action at 9 a.m. on Wednesday to assess the extent of the damage throughout the city. The Red Cross has been collaborating with those affected by the displacement, offering support during this challenging time. As of now, no injuries have been reported.

The residents of Kaukauna are now focused on restoring their properties and recovering from the storm's impact. The city's community is resilient, and with the aid of the Community Emergency Response Team and support from organizations like the Red Cross, they are determined to rebuild and move forward.
