### King Charles III Described as Resilient by Stepson Amid Cancer Treatment

Tom Parker Bowles, stepson of King Charles III, candidly discussed the monarch's ongoing battle with cancer in a recent interview, describing the illness as "a b******." Parker Bowles, who is the eldest child of Queen Camilla and also King Charles's godson, shared insights into the royal family and his stepfather's health in an interview with British Vogue.

Parker Bowles, alongside his sister Laura, has been a familiar presence at royal events since their mother’s marriage to Charles in 2005. He notably attended the coronation of his mother as queen earlier this year. In the interview promoting his new book, *Cooking & The Crown: Royal Recipes From Queen Victoria to King Charles III*, Parker Bowles reflected on Charles's diagnosis and resilience.

"Cancer, it really is a b******," Parker Bowles said, addressing King Charles's health struggle. The king publicly announced his cancer diagnosis in February following a routine treatment for an enlarged prostate earlier in January. Despite the challenges, Parker Bowles expressed confidence in his stepfather's strength and determination, remarking, "He's a great man and a tough man, and you've just got to get on with it." He empathized with others who have loved ones battling cancer, recognizing the universal worry it brings.

King Charles was cleared by his doctors to resume in-person engagements in April and is currently preparing for an international visit with Queen Camilla. The royal couple is set to visit Australia and Samoa from October 18 to 26. However, the king's medical team recommended against extending the trip to New Zealand.

The interview also shed light on Parker Bowles's rapport with his royal stepsiblings, Prince William and Prince Harry. Expressing fondness, he mentioned, "I absolutely adore both of them," referring to Prince William and his wife, Princess Kate.

This rare disclosure by Parker Bowles offers a glimpse into the personal dynamics within the royal family and highlights King Charles's commitment to his royal duties despite health challenges.
