The Los Angeles Rams have concluded their first preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, emerging victorious with a score of 13-12. Upon reviewing the All-22 footage, several standout performances have been identified, showcasing the team's overall impressive performance.

One notable player is Logan Bruss, who, despite not developing as expected after being drafted in the third round, demonstrated significant improvement following his major leg injury last season. Bruss showcased his dominance in pass protection, earning him the highest pass-blocking grade among all offensive linemen in Week 1 of the preseason according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). His strength was also evident in the run game, making him one of the most impressive offensive linemen in Sunday's match against the Cowboys.

On the defensive side, Nick Hampton caught the attention of coaches and spectators alike. Hampton, who has been identified as a potential edge rusher for the Rams, displayed impressive speed and power during his performance. In just 21 snaps, he managed to accumulate five pressures, resulting in a win percentage of 42.9 percent. This impactful performance has solidified Hampton as a promising prospect for the Rams' defense.

Jordan Whittington, the rookie wide receiver, also left a lasting impression during the game. Whittington demonstrated exceptional physicality, becoming a magnet for passes thrown his way. According to PFF, he ranked fifth among wide receivers with more than one target, showcasing his ability to make plays. His running back background was evident in a 31-yard catch and run, where he skillfully bounced off the first defender and continued to gain yards.

In addition to his impressive performance as a receiver, Whittington also excelled in run blocking. Wide receivers for the Rams are expected to contribute in this area, and Whittington did not disappoint. He displayed physicality and willingness as a blocker, earning him recognition as the tenth best run-blocker among wide receivers via PFF, including being ranked number one on zone runs.

Head coach Sean McVay expressed his admiration for Whittington, stating, "He's a grown man and he played like a grown man with the ball in his hands... I just really like him. He's going to be a factor for us."

Another standout player was Beaux Limmer, who demonstrated his versatility at center during the game. Limmer showcased good strength and ability in the run game before sustaining an injury. As a backup center option, Limmer has shown promise and could potentially contribute at guard in the upcoming weeks.

Despite not being likely to make the final roster, safety Jaylen McCollough impressed coaches with his performance during the preseason game. With the Rams having a deep pool of safeties, McCollough showcased his maturity and toughness, making two impressive open-field tackles in quick succession. McVay acknowledged his performance, describing McCollough as having "a mature demeanor" and being "tough."

While there were standout performances, quarterback Stetson Bennett faced challenges during the game, throwing four interceptions. However, his ability to stay on schedule or move outside of the pocket showcased moments of potential. McVay emphasized the importance of Bennett improving his processing and decision-making abilities for future success in the NFL.

Overall, the Los Angeles Rams displayed promising talent during their first preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys. With standout performances from various positions, the team is poised for success as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season.
