### SpaceX Poised for Historic Falcon 9 Launch to Boost Starlink Network

SpaceX is gearing up for another significant mission following the successful return of three astronauts and a cosmonaut from the International Space Station. The aerospace company is preparing its Falcon 9 rocket for the Starlink 10-8 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The highly anticipated launch, scheduled for 5:47 p.m. EDT, aims to place 22 Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit. This event will set a new record for Florida's Space Coast, marking the 73rd orbital launch this year, surpassing the previous high of 72 in 2023.

Preparations for the launch show favorable conditions, with the 45th Weather Squadron forecasting a 90 percent chance for optimal weather. The first stage booster for this mission, B1069, is making its 19th flight, having previously supported missions such as the CRS-24 mission, OneWeb Launch #15, and 14 other Starlink missions.

Upon its return, B1069 is expected to land on the SpaceX droneship, 'Just Read the Instructions,' which would mark the 95th successful landing on this particular platform and the 359th booster landing overall.

The Starlink 10-8 mission represents SpaceX's 69th dedicated Starlink launch in 2024. As of October 25, there were 6,494 Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit, according to astronomer Jonathan McDowell.

Since launching the Starlink service, SpaceX has achieved remarkable growth, recently surpassing four million global customers. The service, providing high-speed internet, now connects users in over 100 countries and territories, a significant increase from the 2.7 million customers reported in April by SpaceX founder Elon Musk.
