**Smartsheet Reveals Major Overhaul and Amazon Q Integration at ENGAGE 2023**

Smartsheet, the Bellevue-based enterprise software giant, made significant waves at its annual ENGAGE conference on Tuesday by showcasing a major redesign and a host of new features, culminating in an integration with Amazon Q Business. This marks the first comprehensive redesign for the company in a decade and follows the announcement of its $8.4 billion acquisition by Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners last month.

Among the newly unveiled features is "collections," a tool designed to curate Smartsheet content and assets from third-party platforms, centralizing them in a single, easily shareable workspace. Additionally, Smartsheet introduced a built-in file library feature and improved its visual interface, aiming to enhance user experience and efficiency.

A noteworthy highlight from the conference was the new connector that synchronizes data from Smartsheet into Amazon Q Business. Amazon Q is a generative AI-powered assistant tailored for enterprise use, capable of leveraging business data to swiftly answer questions or generate content. This new feature will enable Smartsheet users to query Amazon Q's chatbot for detailed insights and information related to their projects.

"The Smartsheet connector furthers our strategy to securely integrate Smartsheet with industry-leading enterprise AI tools so customers can seamlessly work across their business applications," stated Ben Canning, Smartsheet's SVP of Product Experiences.

The strategic integration with Amazon Q aligns with Smartsheet's earlier announcement in July that it would be utilizing the AI-powered assistant for its own workforce. Amazon Q, initially revealed at Amazon’s AWS re:Invent conference last year, represents Amazon’s foray into the competitive landscape of enterprise AI, contending against major players like Microsoft, OpenAI, and Google.

Smartsheet, which boasts nearly 13.5 million users and counts 85% of the Fortune 500 as its clientele, is currently in a "go-shop" period until November 8, following its acquisition deal. This all-cash transaction will result in Smartsheet transitioning back to private ownership, six years after going public.

In its most recent financial report, Smartsheet disclosed a 17% increase in revenue, reaching $276.4 million for the quarter. The company also noted a significant reduction in operating losses, reporting a loss of $8.5 million compared to $36.1 million in the same period the previous year.
