A tragic incident occurred on Saturday when a small plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Chino Airport, resulting in the loss of two lives, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The aircraft involved was identified as a twin-engine Lockheed 12A, as confirmed by FAA spokeswoman Mina Kaji.

The FAA, in collaboration with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), has launched an investigation into the crash. The identities of the deceased individuals have not yet been disclosed. However, a spokesperson from the Chino Valley Fire District confirmed that the crash claimed two lives, as reported by ABC7.

An eyewitness who spoke to the TV station revealed that the two men who perished were participating in a Father's Day event at the Yanks Air Museum. The nature of their involvement in the event has not been specified.

On Saturday, an NTSB spokesperson stated that an investigator is expected to arrive on the crash site on Sunday to commence the process of documenting the scene and examining the aircraft. Following this, the wreckage will be carefully recovered and transported to a secure facility for further evaluation.
