Amazon Studios is celebrating the successful debut of Season 4 of its popular series "The Boys," with the show attracting a significantly larger audience compared to the previous season. According to Amazon, the new episodes garnered 21% more viewers during the first four days of streaming, surpassing the viewership for Season 3 within the same timeframe. Although exact figures were not provided, this marks the fourth consecutive season of growth for the show.

"The Boys" Season 4 now ranks among Amazon Prime's top five biggest TV seasons ever for premiere viewership during the first four days. Only "Reacher's" Season 2 debut in December surpasses its performance, making Season 4 the second biggest returning season on the platform.

International viewership played a significant role in the success of "The Boys" Season 4. Amazon reports that 60% of the viewers were located outside the United States, with Brazil, the United Kingdom, and India being key drivers of the show's popularity. After just four days, the season became Prime Video's number one title in 160 countries.

The fourth season premiered on June 13, with three episodes released initially. Subsequent episodes will be dropped weekly, leading up to the finale on July 18. Showrunner Eric Kripke recently announced that Season 5, which has already been greenlit, will serve as the final chapter of the series.

"The Boys" has been a major success story for Amazon Prime, and it has paved the way for spinoff series. "Gen V," a spinoff set in the same universe, premiered in 2023 and is currently in production for its second season. Additionally, "The Boys: Mexico," another spinoff, is in the early stages of development. According to Kripke, the writer for the pilot is about to be finalized, signaling progress for this exciting new project.

With its impressive viewership numbers, international appeal, and plans for spinoffs, "The Boys" continues to be a standout show on Amazon Prime's streaming platform. Fans eagerly await the remaining episodes of Season 4 and anticipate the upcoming spinoffs that will keep them engaged in this thrilling superhero world.
