In preparation for the start of training camp next week, the Seattle Seahawks have placed seven of their players on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. The list includes starting right tackle Abraham Lucas, who underwent knee surgery after the conclusion of last season. Linebackers Jerome Baker and Tyrel Dodson have also been placed on the PUP list.

In addition to Lucas, Baker, and Dodson, the Seahawks have placed cornerback Lance Boykin, safety Jerrick Reed II, linebacker Drake Thomas, and nose tackle Cameron Young on the PUP list. This means that these players will not be able to participate in training camp activities until they have recovered and been cleared by the medical staff.

Furthermore, the Seahawks have designated five other players to the non-football injury (NFI) list. The players on this list include guard Anthony Bradford, linebacker Easton Gibbs, cornerback D.J. James, cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett, and receiver Dee Williams. Similar to the PUP list, these players are ineligible to participate in training camp until they have recovered from their injuries or medical conditions.

It is worth noting that players placed on either the PUP or NFI list before training camp can potentially return at any point during the camp or preseason. However, players who remain on these lists following the cutdown to the final 53-player roster ahead of the regular season opener will be required to sit out for four games before they become eligible to return.

The Seahawks rookies have already reported for training camp on July 17, 2024, at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Training camp will provide an opportunity for the new recruits as well as the veterans to showcase their skills and prepare for the upcoming season.

Fans can now secure their tickets to experience the excitement of game day with the Seattle Seahawks. The team promises an unforgettable gameday experience, with an array of special theme days, including Kids Day, Mascot Mayhem, and Throwbacks.

As training camp gets underway, the Seahawks will be closely monitoring the progress of the players on the PUP and NFI lists, hoping for their swift recovery and eventual return to the field.
