Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Retail Listing Reveals Redesigned Charging Case and Potential Touch Controls

A recent discovery on a South Korean website has seemingly spilled the beans on the upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 charging case by Samsung. The retail listing, spotted by user TEQNIKA on the Korean website Coupang, showcases a clear-top case design with several lights indicating the charging progress.
The leaked images from the listing show that the Galaxy Buds 3 will sit upright in the case, thanks to the new stem-like design of the earbuds. The case features black holders for the buds and lights on each holder, presumably acting as indicators for the charging process when the case is opened. Additionally, it appears that users will have the option to clip the charging case onto their bags for added convenience.
Interestingly, this revamped design has drawn comparisons to Apple's AirPods Pro case, albeit with the addition of a clear dome. The initial rendering shows a green dot on the outside, which is likely indicative of the case's battery reserves.
Furthermore, a pixelated render leak earlier this month hinted at Samsung's intention to move towards an Apple-like design with a stem, potentially improving stability. New leaks suggest that the Galaxy Buds 3's stem may also come equipped with touch controls. The Samsung Members app code reveals that the touch controls could be pinch and hold-based, with double pinching potentially allowing users to skip songs or decline phone calls. Single pinches might serve as the "play" button for songs and answering incoming calls.
As for the official unveiling of the Galaxy Buds 3 and other devices, a recent leak hints at a summer launch on July 10th. The countdown, coinciding with Samsung's Unpacked event, is set for 10 PM Korean Standard Time (9 am EST), giving fans a clearer timeline for the eagerly anticipated reveal.
Samsung has yet to confirm the authenticity of the retail listing or any details regarding the new Galaxy Buds 3. However, if these leaks prove to be accurate, consumers can expect a sleek and silvery design with a stem-like earbud and a redesigned charging case offering improved functionality and convenience.
Only time will tell if Samsung's Galaxy Buds 3 will indeed shake up the wireless earbud market and give Apple's AirPods Pro some serious competition.
