In an interview with The Ankler podcast, Brown compared Harry to "a lamb to the slaughter," critiquing his blind trust in Meghan's judgment.

Brown drew on language echoing Princess Diana's description of her own vulnerable position when she married King Charles III at just 20. According to the biographer, Meghan convinced Harry of her expertise as a "savvy Hollywood wheeler dealer" able to elevate their public personas. However, Brown claims Meghan’s decisions have often been misguided, further complicating their already strained public image.

The pair have faced significant setbacks recently, including widespread ridicule of Harry's memoir, "Spare," after its release in January 2023, and the collapse of their Spotify deal. Despite these challenges, they continue to pursue new ventures with Netflix and Meghan's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Brown highlighted Meghan's decision to sign with Hollywood talent agency WME as a rare positive step, though she remained skeptical of the duchess's ability to sustain success. The former editor of prestigious magazines argued that Meghan's reluctance to heed advice from her advisors often leads to poor decisions.

"He's pretty much in the thrall of Meghan," Brown stated, describing Harry as someone inexperienced in practical matters of the world. Despite his personal growth during his time in the army, she suggested he remains unprepared for the nuances of life outside royalty. Brown expressed hope that Harry could potentially rebuild his image, given his status as Princess Diana's son and Queen Elizabeth II's grandson.

In Brown's view, while Meghan's professional future remains uncertain, Harry's royal heritage offers him a potential lifeline, providing hope for his eventual resurgence in the public eye.
