### Robert Kraft Comments on Jabrill Peppers After Exempt List Placement

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has expressed his stance on the situation surrounding Jabrill Peppers, who was recently placed on the commissioner's exempt list. According to Kraft, if the allegations against Peppers prove to be true, the safety will no longer remain with the Patriots.

Peppers found himself on the commissioner's exempt list following his arrest over the weekend on charges of strangulation and cocaine possession. These charges stem from allegations that he choked his girlfriend and pushed her down a flight of stairs. In an interview on "The Breakfast Club" on Friday, Kraft confirmed that the Patriots would cut ties with Peppers if the accusations are substantiated.

Kraft, making a reference to his own 2019 solicitation arrest which resulted in dropped charges, remarked on the complexities of today's media landscape. "With so much on social media, a lot of what's reported can be unfair," Kraft noted. "Initial reports of these kinds of incidents can be quite distressing, but we have to be thorough in our investigations. If these allegations are true, Peppers will be gone."

Despite the severe accusations, Peppers has denied the woman’s claims, suggesting she was acting erratically due to his refusal to engage in unprotected sex. Peppers pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, and cocaine possession at a Monday arraignment. He posted a $2,500 bail and was instructed to stay away from the woman involved.

Marc Brofsky, Peppers' attorney, has argued that evidence in the case, including videotaped material, casts significant doubt on the allegations. As Peppers remains on leave, he will not participate in practices or games while the investigation unfolds.

Kraft emphasized the importance of due diligence before making decisions. "Important decisions in life require thorough consideration," he concluded. "If the reported facts hold up, Peppers will no longer be with us, but we need to gather all the facts first."
