In a move to protect the privacy of residents, several states are offering individuals the right to opt out of targeted advertising, selling, or sharing of their personal information. These rights have been outlined in the "Your US State Privacy Rights" section, including the "Your California Privacy Rights" section.

According to the information provided, certain cookies are essential for the functioning of services and cannot be disabled in the systems. These cookies are typically activated in response to user actions like setting privacy preferences, logging in, accessing content or filling in forms. While users can choose to block or receive alerts about these cookies, it may result in some parts of the website becoming non-functional.

The option to opt out of targeted advertising, selling, or sharing is available on the digital property mentioned in the notice. By moving the toggle provided to the left, users or their authorized agents can exercise their right to opt out of these activities in compliance with applicable privacy laws. It is important to note that this opt-out choice specifically applies to the mentioned property. If users access other digital properties within the Walt Disney Family of Companies, a separate opt-out election would be required.

The notice also emphasizes that clearing cookies, using another browser, or accessing the property through a different device may necessitate opting out again. To broaden the reach of the opt-out election, users have the option to provide the requested information in the opt-out form.

For convenience, users can also enable a universal tool like the Global Privacy Control (GPC) if it is available online. Activating the GPC signal is regarded as a request to opt out.

While opting out, users may still encounter advertising that is based on their personal information processed prior to their opt-out decision. In addition, residents also retain the rights to opt out from specific third parties' selling and sharing of personal information. Separate opt-out requests must be made for each party, which can be done through the IAB opt-out list mentioned in the notice. Additional online tools are also available for users interested in limiting various types of interest-based advertising or tracking.

Residents are encouraged to visit the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and "Targeted Advertising" Opt-Out Rights sections for more information on their rights and available options.

As privacy concerns continue to be at the forefront, these opt-out rights offer individuals greater control over their personal information and aim to ensure transparency and choice in the digital landscape.
