In her forthcoming memoir titled "Rebel Rising," actress Rebel Wilson has called out Sacha Baron Cohen by name, referring to him as the "a--hole" she encountered in the industry. However, a representative for Cohen has vehemently denied the allegation, stating that the claims made by Wilson are "demonstrably false."
The representative for Cohen explained that there is an abundance of evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from the production of the film "The Brothers Grimsby" in which Wilson and Cohen starred together. They emphasized that this evidence contradicts the accusations made by Wilson.
Wilson, known for her roles in movies like "Pitch Perfect," took to her Instagram story to defend herself against legal and PR pressures she claims to have faced from Cohen. She wrote, "I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The 'a--hole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen."
The representatives for Wilson have not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter from Fox News Digital. The actress had previously accused Cohen of "harassing" her on the set of "The Brothers Grimsby" during a radio show interview.
Wilson first hinted at the presence of an "a--hole" she had worked with in Hollywood in an Instagram post on March 15. Explaining her newfound "no a--holes policy," Wilson stated, "When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, 'Yeah, I have a no a--hole policy. Means like, yeah, I don't work with a--holes.' [...] That guy was a massive a--hole."
It remains to be seen how this accusation will impact the public reception of Wilson's memoir, and whether there will be any further development in the feud between Wilson and Cohen.
