Ray J, who attended the award show on June 30, reposted a photo of himself from the event and wrote an emotional message in red, referencing incidents both backstage and after the show. He described the overwhelming nature of what was happening as "mind blowing" and admitted that it was making him feel suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality.

The 43-year-old artist detailed an altercation that occurred outside GloRilla's BET Awards after party, where he reportedly got into a verbal spat with a Zeus Network executive. Bodyguards intervened to diffuse the situation, and although Ray J threw a punch, no one was hit. At one point, he retrieved a backpack from his car, the contents of which remain unknown. Ray J's team managed to get him safely back into his vehicle and leave without further incident.

In his social media post, Ray J expressed frustration over being locked out backstage at the BET Awards, despite working at the event and being on his break. He questioned why he was not allowed access, saying, "I don't know who they didn't want me to see - it was weird." The singer also mentioned that he had previously been paid to remain silent, expressing regret and stating that he no longer wanted "dirty money."

The heartfelt message contained cryptic elements, with Ray J bidding farewell to his sister, Brandy, promising to make things right and not let the situation go unaddressed.
