The Las Vegas Raiders' 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8 has extended their losing streak to four games, pushing their season record to a disappointing 2-6, including 0-3 in the AFC West. As the season reaches its midpoint, early optimism has evaporated, and the focus has shifted to the NFL Draft. The coaching staff faces significant scrutiny, topping this week's list of winners and losers.

The coaching staff, including Antonio Pierce, Luke Getsy, and Patrick Graham, has come under fire for their contribution to the team's decline. Poor game management, an ineffective offense that gained only 33 rushing yards at an average of 1.6 yards per attempt, and a defense that allowed the Chiefs to convert 12 of 16 third downs all point to systemic issues. League sources have particularly criticized offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, with inconsistency from quarterbacks Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew highlighting long-standing concerns about his coaching tenure.

The coaching staff's woes are not isolated to Getsy. Criticism extends to Marvin Lewis and Rob Ryan, with accusations that both have become complacent and are merely collecting paychecks.

On a more positive note, defensive player Chaisson had his best game of the season, recording a solid performance as both a pass-rusher and run defender. He earned a commendable 64.5 run-defense grade and made two defensive stops, indicating potential for the remainder of the season. Rookie Powers-Johnson, while showing promise, struggled with consistency, posting a 57.2 PFF run-blocking grade and drawing two penalties, marking his fifth consecutive flagged game.

Wide receiver Turner, despite modest stats of four receptions for 28 yards, played a crucial role in the game, scoring one touchdown and converting two catches into first downs. His 17-yard punt return also set the Raiders up for a field goal, indicating his potential for securing the punt return role moving forward.

However, defensive challenges remain prominent, exemplified by Deablo, who allowed six of seven targets for 76 yards, earning a poor 39.0 coverage grade. Conversely, Wilson, the team's 2023 first-round pick, showed promise with a sack and a strong run defense performance, earning a 70.5 run-defense grade from PFF.

Meredith's performance was another low point, struggling against Chris Jones and earning a sub-par 51.4 run-blocking grade, failing to solidify his position as a starter.

In contrast, the return of Meyers bolstered the Raiders' passing game. He led the team with six catches and added 52 yards, scoring his first touchdown since Week 3, making crucial contested catches and providing a much-needed boost to the offense.
