**Stroud's Shaky Show, Cousins' Command, and Methodical Mahomes Shine in NFL Action**

C.J. Stroud's performance on Sunday showed some vulnerabilities. While he remains a top 10 quarterback for many, there were concerning signs. For instance, after wide receiver Nico Collins left the game due to injury, the Texans failed to secure any touchdowns. Stroud initially dazzled, completing 5 of 5 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown to Collins. Post-injury, however, Stroud's stats dipped to 17 of 27 for 220 yards, an interception, and a fumble, indicating a noticeable drop in explosive plays.

Kirk Cousins, on the other hand, exhibited a masterclass in pocket passing with the Falcons. His performance was marked by timing, precision, and bold risks that paid off. Cousins completed an impressive 42 of 58 for 509 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, leading Atlanta to a win. This display marked a stark contrast from Week 1, where the Falcons appeared lackluster, and quarterback Michael Penix seemed poised to take over.

Patrick Mahomes demonstrated his evolved playing style against the Saints. While it wasn't the high-flying Mahomes of early days, his patient and methodical approach proved effective. He racked up 300 of his 331 passing yards on short throws under 15 air yards, according to Next Gen Stats. Mahomes avoided risky throws, evidenced by the fact that none of his 39 passes were into tight windows. Even his interception occurred when a Saints defender disrupted JuJu Smith-Schuster's catch.

This calculated, game-management style of Mahomes led the Chiefs to a dominant victory over the Saints, showcasing how his decision-making can still dismantle defenses effortlessly. As the season progresses, it will be intriguing to see how these quarterbacks continue to adapt and impact their teams' fortunes.
