Kensington Palace shared an update on Kate Middleton's recovery from abdominal surgery as Prince William unexpectedly had to pull out of a planned appearance at a Thanksgiving Service. Prince William, who was scheduled to join Queen Camilla and other royals at St George's Chapel, Windsor, to celebrate the life of King Constantine of the Hellenes, had to cancel last minute due to a personal matter. The Palace confirmed that William personally informed King Constantine's family about his absence.

Kate Middleton, who underwent surgery at the London Clinic on January 16, continues to recover well according to Palace aides. She has chosen to keep her condition private and is not expected to return to public duties until after Easter. The Palace emphasized that they will not provide regular updates on her recovery to respect her privacy.

Meanwhile, King Charles had to cancel public engagements as he undergoes treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer. Queen Camilla has maintained a busy schedule, while Prince William has modified his timetable to focus on supporting his family throughout this period. Prince William's most recent public appearance was at the BAFTAs on Sunday evening.
