### Five Detroit Lions Players Who Could Be Traded at the 2024 Deadline

As the 2024 NFL trade deadline rapidly approaches on November 5, the Detroit Lions find themselves in an unusual but enviable position. Sitting atop the NFC North with an impressive 5-1 record, the Lions are expected to be active buyers this year. However, they might also be open to parting with certain players, particularly if it means enhancing their defense or acquiring a high-impact EDGE defender. Here are five Lions players who could be on the move before the deadline.

Linebacker James Houston has struggled to replicate his rookie success from 2022. After a breakout stretch with eight sacks in his first seven games, Houston has since been largely ineffective, with no sacks and just one quarterback hit in five games. Although his trade value has diminished, the 25-year-old could still attract interest from teams looking for defensive depth. The Lions would likely trade Houston without hesitation if it meant securing a top-tier EDGE replacement for Aidan Hutchinson.

Josh Paschal, another potential trade candidate, has been less than stellar since being drafted in the second round of the 2022 draft. Despite generating nine total pressures in the first seven weeks of the 2024 season, Paschal has only four sacks and nine quarterback hits to his name. If the Lions had the opportunity to trade Paschal as part of a package for a player like the Raiders' Maxx Crosby or the Browns' Za'Darius Smith, Detroit's front office would probably not think twice.

Rookie Isaiah Williams is also a name to watch, although it’s less likely he will be traded. Despite showing significant potential in training camp and the preseason, Williams has yet to play a single snap. With Jameson Williams suspended, Isaiah could see more game time. However, if the Lions pursue an elite receiver like the Rams' Cooper Kupp, Isaiah Williams might be an enticing piece in a trade package.

Veteran receiver Marvin Robinson, signed to the active roster on September 26, has made minimal impact with just one target in two games. His role might expand with Jameson Williams out on suspension, but it's uncertain whether that would be enough to keep him off the trading block.

Finally, running back Craig Reynolds has had limited action this season despite being active for all six games. With just six carries for 21 yards, his contributions have been minimal compared to last year when he logged 41 carries for 179 yards and a touchdown. The recent addition of rookie back Sione Vaki could make Reynolds expendable, and a late-round draft pick could be enough for the Lions to make a deal.

As the trade deadline looms, these players might find themselves involved in moves that could reshape the Lions' roster and their playoff ambitions.
