In the search for the next James Bond, former 007 actor Pierce Brosnan has voiced his support for his former co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Speculations have been swirling that Taylor-Johnson, known for his role as Kraven the Hunter, could potentially take over the iconic 007 role from Daniel Craig.

Brosnan, who portrayed James Bond in movies such as "GoldenEye" and "Die Another Day," believes that Taylor-Johnson has the necessary talent and charisma to embody the suave spy. Speaking on The Ray D'Arcy Show, Brosnan expressed his confidence in Taylor-Johnson's ability to bring the character to life.

"I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so," Brosnan remarked. The two actors previously worked together on the 2008 film "The Greatest," strengthening their bond and sparking Brosnan's admiration for Taylor-Johnson's acting prowess.

While Brosnan has previously stated his indifference towards the casting decision, he has since thrown his weight behind other contenders. Just a few weeks ago, he endorsed Cillian Murphy, star of the Oscar-winning film "Oppenheimer," as a potential James Bond candidate. Brosnan expressed his belief that Murphy would do a "magnificent job" as the iconic spy.

With conflicting endorsements from Brosnan, it remains uncertain who will ultimately secure the coveted role. However, Brosnan's shifting opinions seem to indicate either his genuine lack of concern or his willingness to support the chosen actor, regardless of personal preferences.

As the search for the new James Bond continues, Taylor-Johnson's name stands among a long list of "criminally handsome" actors rumored to be in consideration. It remains to be seen whether the British spy franchise will hand the reins to Taylor-Johnson, but with Brosnan's endorsement, the actor's chances may be significantly bolstered.

Fans of the classic secret agent franchise eagerly await the announcement of the next James Bond, as the iconic role is passed on from Daniel Craig, who has held the position for the past two decades.
