The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has recently unveiled a thrilling pay-per-view event set to feature the highly-anticipated debuts of two legendary fighters, Francis Ngannou and Cris Cyborg. The event, scheduled for October 19th, will showcase both fighters in the main and co-main events, with newly created PFL super fights championship belts up for grabs.

In the main event, Ngannou (17-3 MMA, 0-0 PFL) will make his long-awaited PFL debut against Renan Ferreira (13-3 MMA, 7-1 PFL). This will mark Ngannou's return to the MMA world after leaving the UFC in January 2023, where he last defended his title in a unanimous decision victory over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. With six consecutive wins, including five finishes, Ngannou is eager to make his mark in the PFL.

Sharing the spotlight, Cris Cyborg (27-2 MMA, 0-0 PFL) will also make a splash in her promotional debut as she takes on Larissa Pacheco. Cyborg, a dominant force in MMA, last competed at Bellator 300 where she successfully defended her featherweight title by stopping Cat Zingano in the first round. Since then, Cyborg has had successful appearances in the boxing ring, recording stoppages against Kelsey Wickstrum and Aria Wild.

Renan Ferreira is no stranger to the PFL, having previously captured the 2023 PFL heavyweight championship and maintaining an impressive record of 7-1 within the league. Meanwhile, Larissa Pacheco (23-4 MMA, 12-2 PFL), a back-to-back PFL champion, will be returning to the cage after her victories in the lightweight and featherweight divisions in previous seasons.

The details regarding the location and venue for this thrilling event are yet to be announced. However, fight fans can look forward to witnessing an exhilarating night of MMA action with these blockbuster matchups, as two of the sport's most talented fighters, Ngannou and Cyborg, make their highly-anticipated PFL debuts.

With the stakes high and the prestigious PFL super fights championship belts on the line, MMA enthusiasts around the world eagerly await the showdown between Ngannou and Ferreira, as well as the clash between Cyborg and Pacheco. Mark October 19th on your calendars, as the PFL promises to deliver an unforgettable night of action-packed fights that are sure to leave fans on the edge of their seats.
