**Passengers Subdue Man Attempting to Open Cabin Door Mid-Flight**
Passengers on an American Airlines flight bound for Dallas sprang into action when a man tried to open the cabin door mid-flight, using duct tape to restrain him until the plane landed.
The incident occurred on flight 1915 from Milwaukee when a Canadian national became agitated after asking a flight attendant to open the cabin door. When his request was denied, he allegedly rushed towards the door, striking the attendant who attempted to block him, according to a report from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Department of Public Safety.
As the disturbance unfolded, other passengers quickly intervened to assist the flight attendant. The agitated man continued demanding to leave the plane, prompting a flight attendant to give duct tape to the passengers. They secured his wrists and ankles and positioned him on his belly for the remainder of the journey, the report stated.
Upon landing, the man was detained by airport police and the FBI, who placed him in a wheelchair and escorted him off the aircraft for a medical evaluation. As of Wednesday evening, no arrests had been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The flight attendant involved was taken to the hospital for treatment of wrist and neck injuries sustained during the altercation.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced it is investigating the incident. American Airlines expressed gratitude towards its team members and passengers for handling the challenging situation, emphasizing that the safety and security of both customers and crew remain a top priority.
